Gram's choir at Andrew's had a Christmas concert a couple of weeks ago. It was a beautiful afternoon. A delicious one too...they served bacon-wrapped scallops, lobster-stuffed mushroom caps, grilled shrimp, and all sorts of other appetizers and enough squares and sweets to sink a ship. There was chowder, eggnog, punch, wine...you name it, it was on the menu. All of Mom's siblings who live on the Island were there with their spouses so it was nice to have a visit with lots of family too.

Our Junior Choir sang on Christmas Eve. They did "Silent Night" in English, Korean, and Chinese. We have been blessed with a terrific amount of Chinese immigrants attending our church lately to learn English. For many of these kids, this is the first Christmas they are celebrating.

We had a Merry Christmas after all. What a lovely day we had with family yesterday! 14 people and 6 dogs, and surprisingly it didn't seem chaotic. It was just so nice to be together, pig out on turkey dinner and plum pudding, and have a few laughs. I feel truly blessed. This will be a Christmas fondly remembered for years to come, despite the tragic loss our family has endured. We trust you all enjoyed your celebrations of our Saviour's birthday too.
